Online learning alone is less effective than a blended solution because of the varying learning styles of participants. I recommend using a combination of techniques. For audio learners I would use a combination of podcasts and audio books/chapters/articles; for visual learners, I would include PowerPoint presentations and video clips and for kinesthetic learners I would include online searches and creation of podcasts and videos that can be shared with the larger group.
